Universal Preschool

Universal Preschool is for children who are 4 years-old by September xv, the year they volition begin preschool. (Children who are 5 years sometime by September 15th are not eligible.)

If yous would like to apply for the Universal Preschool Program for the electric current 2021-2022 school yr please e-mail preschool@dmschools.org to have the Preschool application link emailed to you. Students must have turned 4 years-old past September 15, 2021.

DMPS Universal Preschool classes are held 5 days per calendar week: Mon- Friday.

There are two options for length of mean solar day:

  • One-half-24-hour interval preschool (no cost)
  • Total-day preschool (parent pay or 1 unit childcare assistance)

Some scholarships are bachelor for the full-day Universal Preschool classrooms at McKee, Mitchell and Woodlawn.

Head Start Preschool

Head Start is an income-based preschool plan for three and 4 year-olds. Children must be 3 or 4 years old past September 15, the year they volition begin preschool. (Children who are v years old by September 15th are not eligible.)

Classes are held 5 days per calendar week: Mon-Friday.

One-half-mean solar day options are available for three and 4 yr-olds, full-24-hour interval options are available for children who are 4 years sometime by September fifteen.

All Caput Start options are free of charge.

An appointment is required for Head Start applications. Nosotros will showtime scheduling Head Commencement applications for the 2022-2023 school twelvemonth beginning in February 2022. Shared Visions Preschool

Shared Visions is an income-based program for 4 year-sometime children who live in the attendance area of Capitol View, McKinley, or Moulton schools. Contact us at preschool@dmschools.org  for information about how to use.
